Now in its third year, Wordstock is a one-day festival of writing and language. It is staged by 26, the writers' organisation and is open to everybody. Highlights this year include: Kate Mosse OBE, David Parfitt (an Oscar-winning film producer) and Dick Mullender, a former Scotland Yard hostage and crisis negotiator.

During the day there are writing projects to get your teeth into and two sets of workshops that cover the business end of freelance writing. There will also be a celebration this year as 26 marks its 10th anniversary.

Kate Mosse OBE - Award-winning writer, broadcaster and founder of the Women's Prize for Fiction.

Dick Mullender - Former Scotland Yard hostage and crisis negotiator, and an expert on listening.

David Parfitt - Oscar-winning film producer (Shakespeare in Love). Recent productions include My Week With Marilyn and Parade's End.
