Large Spaces

Free Word Hall

We can host anything from breakfast meetings to awards ceremonies. In our spacious hall, we’ve hosted film showings, live performances, panel discussions, music gigs, product launches, dinners and a wide variety of other events.

Free Word’s hall is bright and beautifully spacious, with polished wooden floors and high ceilings. The hall alone can accommodate up to 100 people standing. We can also open up the wall* between the hall and the theatre, creating one large unified space for events that can hold up to 200 people standing.

Additionally, we offer a variety of seated formats including formal dining. Both the theatre and hall are equipped with dimmable lighting, so we’re able to create a special atmosphere for your event. There are a wide range of options, so if you have a dream setup, please do get in touch with us to discuss – it may well be possible!

You are welcome to bring your own catering to Free Word. We will work with your caterers on the logistics of the event to ensure that everything runs smoothly, and if you need catering
recommendations, we’re happy to help. We also have a pop up bar for events, if drinks are required. This can be used as a pay bar, or set up with a tab. If you have any queries about catering or drinks provisions, please let us know when making your booking.

*Please note: we can only open the wall if this has been agreed at least 24 hours in advance of your booking. We are not able to do this at short notice.

On weekdays, the hall can only be hired after 5pm.
